Printable Pantry Labels

Hello lovelies, lately I’ve been busy with a lot of things, of course it normally happens when you have to juggle between work and home matters starting from as early as 4.30 in the morning… (obviously a lot !!!) My laundry in big mess, the kitchen counter was like …eh!!! Where have all the space gone. Really, it’s getting tinier day after day…

After giving a lot of consideration I come with this GIGANTIC ideas, to sort out my kitchen. Organizing it from top to bottom. So I’ve started with sorting out my spices. What I did was recycling all the mason jars. Designing labels was like huh…which one was nicer..this one or that one? And I ended designing like 3 patterns and giving myself trouble, which one to choose. I know they are very basic, but I am quite satisfied with the outcome. So here are some printable pantry label, comes with blanks and with wording. You could actually download them and print them on sticker paper, gloss paper or on a stock card.

On the other hands, I’m still processing my label and finalising them so that I could use them to spice up my mason jar….wish me luck ok….

Outer Space Classroom

Another post from me tonight….This is my decoration for my classroom. The theme is Outer Space… we painted the class midnight blue and add skirting for the desks.  Also added a lot of stars too. We have birthday board, attendance board, duty chart, reading conner and a simple library.

For the birthday conner, I printed out the boy and girl astronauts, coloured and then laminated them (I could recycle these for another year). Then I add big straws to each of the astro boy and girl….add pencil with the pupils’ birthday. The pupils could get the pencil on their birthday….

Rainbow Classroom Theme

Every end of the year I will squeeze out as many ideas as possible to decorate my class and that is the best that I like about being a class teacher. I get a lot ideas from Pinterest…(I love pinning so much)….And these year my classroom theme is rainbow…

Here are a few photos that I managed to snap during the project. However, it is not done yet, so there are many more things to do. I will update this post once the project is completed.

I’ve been hunting the rainbow items from the bookstore to the wedding shops. From online to the sewing store…searching here and there and check out what I managed to collect. Nice right?

Black and white beading

Jahit manik
Red, white and black beading

Jahitan Manik

We are in the middle of school holidays. Like usual, I like to do anything that is being left during heavy workload. This is a beading for my friend and I am kind of admiring it because of the color combination. The flowers popped out really well. Though eyes tend to get very tired and neck becomes stiff but the satisfaction is really there. I just enjoy the process and won’t get bored with doing that.

Fried Fish Fillet with Crispy Batter

We just had lunch after a hectic morning. Just done baking a 3 layer moist chocolate cake for friend’s birthday. This cake is requested by the birthday girl, so I baked this chocolate cake contentedly. Kitchen is in a mess condition, with all the baking and decorating items but the children and I still need our lunch. We had this fish with rice. It was so simple, which took less than 15 minutes to cook. I use dory fish fillet dip in a simple batter. What makes this batter so special, is it is so crispy yet so quick to prepare. Here I attached the recipe to make this batter.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp curry powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
3/4 cup water
2 tsp vinegar
1 egg lightly beaten

Steps:
1. Mix flour, salt, curry powder and chilli powder until combine.
2. Add water, stir well. Add vinegar. Stir.
3. Add egg.

The batter is ready to use.

Coat fish fillet with flour then dip into the batter. Fry until perfection. Serve hot.

We have our fried fish with chilli sauce and mayonnaise.

Chicken Paprik – A Thai Cuisine

My family menu planner consists of variety of dishes. As far as possible I’ll try to put the family favourite in the menu planner. One of the most requested main dish that served frequently on the dining table is this chicken paprik.

Chicken paprik is a very famous cuisine normally found in Thai restaurants across Malaysia. It combines a flavorful of vegetables, chicken, kaffir lime leaves and lemon grass. It is rich in flavour and the fresh smell of lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves is very enticing. This is a very great recipe normally taken during lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
1 Chicken breast, Cut into Strips or Cube
2 Cloves Garlic, slice or bruised
1 Large Onion, thinly sliced
1 Stalk Cauliflower, cut into bite sized pieces
1 Medium Sized carrot, sliced
4 Kafir Lime Leaves, torn
1 Lemongrass, bruised
2 tbs Chilli Paste
1 tbs Oyster sauce
1 tbs Tomato sauce
1 tps Sugar
1 tps Salt
Enough Oil for Frying

Method
1. Prepare the chicken first by stir frying in some oil until slightly charred.
2. Put it aside while you prepare the gravy.
3. Using the same wok, heat some oil. Stir fry onion, garlic, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves.
4. Add in chilli paste and oyster sauce. Let it cook for a few minutes.
5. Mix in carrot and cauliflower and continue to stir fry.
6. Add in chicken and season with salt and sugar.
7. Stir fry for another 2-3 minutes on a high heat until the vegetables are cooked.
8. Serve with a plate of rice.

Rainbow Cupcakes

I found baking is such a way to release the tense. I baked this rainbow cupcakes during the weekends and brought them to school for other teachers. I made a normal butter cake recipe and did the twist by dividing the batter into 6 bowls since I found that the indigo and violet is much the same. Each bowl, I dipped a toothpick with different rainbow color and give them a good stir. Then, I put the colored batter into piping bags. Now came the fun part where I piped the batter layer by layer into the cupcake cups.

Bake them to perfection and voila….such a beautiful cupcakes to warm up our hectic Monday.
